5/26 – 5/27 Blubber Bay

No wonder so many people put in at Vananda.

Blubber Bay is simply god awful. The only way I could imagine being thankful for it is if I was running from a Southerly gale or storm. Although given the boat that we're on, I might consider riding out the gale if it was a small one.

The anchoring was easy, as no one else even dreamed of staying here. The entire Bay is dominated by a twenty-four hour a day limestone and gravel quarry. The dust comes up in plumes like smoke from the towers of Mordor. The sounds of machinery and falling rock are never ending. The beeping of reversing trucks made it sound like were sleeping in a parking lot.

There simply aren't many places to stop between Blind Bay and Lund or the Copelands Marine Park.

Blind Bay、Lund
