Bedwell Harbor 5/16 - 5/17

Canada!

What a welcome we got. As we neared the entrance to Bedwell Harbor, our first Canadian Port of call, all of the boats came to a near standstill. And then we saw our welcoming committee.

On all sides of us Orca Whales were surfacing. Mostly just to breath but some were slapping the water with fins or tails. Every direction we looked there was bound to be a whale breaching. Overhead a group of young eagles, darkly colored, head not yet fully white, circled and gyred in the afternoon sun.

Now it feels like the trip has begun! We celebrated with champagne compliments of Scott Myers.
